OPERATION ADOPTION FOR ADULT CATS – on December 5 and 6, 2013

Be a HERO and adopt an adult cat!

Montreal, December 2, 2013 – The Montreal SPCA is organizing Operation Adoption for Adult Cats, to be held on December 5 and 6, 2013 from noon to 8:00 pm at the two Montreal SPCA shelters. We have been receiving a particularly high number of abandoned or stray cats and we need your help to find them a forever loving home.

In order to facilitate the adoption of 100 adult cats, the adoption fee* will be reduced during these two days only (December 5 and 6, 2013) at $40 for all adult cats (5-month-old and up). The adoption fee* will also be reduced at $100 for kittens (under 5-month-old) during these two days.

* The fee includes sterilization (spaying or neutering), which is mandatory for all adopted cats, the first set of vaccinations, deworming treatment, a microchip and a 30-day health guarantee.

We also want to promote the importance of adopting a pet from a shelter rather than buying one from a pet store or online. Adopting gives a second chance and a home to a healthy animal, while saving lives and helping stop pet overpopulation.

On Thursday, December 5 and Friday, December 6, Operation Adoption for Adult Cats welcomes you
between noon and 8:00pm at:

  • Montreal SPCA – 5215 Jean- Talon West, Montreal
  • SPCA Annexe – 7314 Mountain Sights, Montreal (one corner south of the SPCA)

Our adoption counsellors will be happy to help you find the right companion.
