Bequests and other planned giving

A planned gift to the Montreal SPCA is an excellent way to honour your lifelong love of animals and to help our organization pursue its crucial mission.

There are several types of planned gifts; here are some examples:

  • Bequests (see below)
  • Securities
  • Retirement savings plans
  • Life insurance

Each of these forming of giving has specific tax benefits for you and your estate. Your advisor (notary or lawyer, accountant or financial planner) can help you choose which best suits you and prepare a will that meets your personal requirements and respects your wishes.

For more information, contact Fanny Ricard at admin@spca.com.

Bequests

Bequests are one of the greatest and most sustainable ways of helping the Montreal SPCA to fulfill its mission of caring for thousands of animals in need.

Bequests are very simple to include in your will. Payable at death, they are a planned gift that reduces the tax burden on your estate. An official receipt is issued and may help reduce the taxes payable on income received by your estate. Thanks to your generosity, our team will be able to continue going above and beyond to protect and care for animals in need.
