Breaking News: No Adoption Fees This Sunday, July 9!
You’ve probably heard: the season is at its peak and it’s a particularly challenging one this year at the SPCA. ☹ The shelter usually takes in about 100 companion animals each week but, last week, nearly 200 needed our help!
And now, these dogs, cats, rabbits and other critters need YOUR support! ? An astonishing number of animals—of all ages and sizes—are waiting to be adopted at the shelter.
To facilitate their placement, the Montreal SPCA is waiving adoption fees for one day only, THIS SUNDAY, JULY 9. Plus, the adoption service will be open until 8 p.m.
The goal of this free adoption day is to find loving forever homes for all of these wonderful animals. Our adoption counselors will be delighted to guide you in your choice and answer your questions.

? WHEN: Sunday, July 9, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
? WHERE: Montreal SPCA, 5215 Jean-Talon Street West, Montréal (Namur metro station)
Please note that a valid ID is required to adopt. Bring an animal carrier or you can purchase one (except for dogs) at the SPCA’s boutique.
For dog adoptions, a second visit and a deposit may be required. Deposits will be refunded with proof of completion of a dog training class.
