When he arrived at the shelter, Gargamel only needed only to be examined, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered to be put up for adoption. Friendly and healthy, this sweet cat was sure to be adopted quickly. In theory, animals like Gargamel should only stay in the shelter for a short time. But the reality? Our limited resources complicate matters.
A new examination room will enable us to shorten the animals’ shelter stay. A shelter stay is extremely stressful for animals and so weakens their immune systems. That is why we must do everything in our power to get them into their new homes quickly.
