Every week, the Montreal SPCA takes in dozens of animals, and we really need your help to care for them.

We are looking for new or lightly used items that will help us improve the well-being of our residents. Below is a complete list of items we currently need and those we do not accept. Please note that our needs fluctuate from one week to the next, so we update these lists regularly.

You can also help by buying items on our Amazon.ca shopping list.

Every donation allows us to rescue and care for abandoned and abused animals. You can also support us by making a monetary donation.

How to drop off your donations at the shelter

— Items worth less than $500 or of small size (smaller than or equivalent to a cat carrier)

Donations can be dropped off at the shelter every day between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.:

Vehicle Donation 

The Montreal SPCA is partnered with Donate a Car Canada to accept your vehicle donation! You will be provided free towing, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat, or motorcycle to the Montreal SPCA through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or re-sold (depending on its condition, age and location). Donate a Car Canada will look after all the details to make it easy for the Montreal SPCA to benefit. You will receive a tax receipt after your vehicle donation has been processed! Foster an animal

Do you like animals, but are unable to commit to one long term? By fostering, you can temporarily offer shelter and care to an animal in need!

Cohabit peacefully with wildlife

Learn how to avoid conflicts with wildlife – such as coyotes, skunks, raccoons and company –  and find out how to help them… the right way!

Have you lost or found an animal? First, check if the Montreal SPCA serves your municipality or borough.
